Most fish rows are matched to a single species, so the row compares what different vendors charge for the same fish. Some pages are broader: where a common name covers several closely related species — "fairy wrasse", "angelfish" — the page groups them, and the comparison is between similar animals rather than one species. The main honest reasons two listings for one species differ in price: size class (small/medium/large), collection origin, and captive-bred versus wild-caught — species pages call out a captive-bred premium whenever the data contains both.

Livestock shopping is more than sticker price. Vendors differ on shipping cost, free-shipping thresholds, and arrive-alive guarantee terms, and none of that is in these numbers. Use the table to spot which vendors are in a fair range for the species you want, then compare delivered cost and guarantee before ordering.
